This essay places journalism against a much higher standard: Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) — a man who stood for truth and justice when standing carried the ultimate price. It asks journalists to examine whether they are truly witnesses to truth, or whether the modern system has trained them to protect the timeslot, the institution, and themselves.

This is also a statement about the journalism I believe must come next: journalism built on truth, accountability, justice, and Mizan — balance without hate.
